Lewiston Ambulance awarded $3,000 Grant

On December 17, 2014 the Lewiston Ambulance was presented with a $3,000 grant from AgStar Financial Services, ACA! The grant was given as part of the Emergency Response Equipment Grant Program, which supports rural areas by funding emergency equipment for volunteer fire, rescue or ambulance departments. This year AgStar increased the amount awarded through the program with 59 volunteer fire, rescue and ambulance squads receiving grants totaling $165,506. Since its inception in 2001, the AgStar Fund has donated more than $5 million to organizations working to improve the future of rural America.

The Lewiston Ambulance applied for funds to update our training equipment. With the money, we were able to purchase a full size CPR/Trauma Manikin (pictured), 4 adult CPR manikins with CPR monitors, 4 infant CPR manikins with CPR monitors, a new AED Trainer, and a new airway manikin! This equipment will provide better training to our own members and it will also enhance the training we provide within the community! Thank You AgStar!
